Who We Are

SwitchNinja is an independent cell phone plan comparison tool built by people who work in the telecom industry. We got tired of watching friends, family, and customers pay $80–$120 a month for plans they didn't need — when identical or better coverage was available for $25–$40.

We built SwitchNinja to make the answer simple: answer a few questions about how you use your phone, and we'll tell you exactly which plan fits your life — not which plan has the biggest advertising budget.

How Our Recommendations Work

Our recommendation engine scores every plan across five dimensions based on your answers. See the full scoring methodology →

Price fit — does the plan fall within your stated budget?
Data match — does the plan's data allowance match your actual usage?
Line count — is the plan optimized for single lines, or does it reward multi-line families?
Feature alignment — does the plan include features you said you care about, like hotspot, international calling, or Wi-Fi calling?
Network fit — is the carrier known for strong coverage in your usage area?

Plans are ranked by total score. The highest-scoring plan for your inputs appears first. Affiliate relationships play no role in scoring — a plan with no affiliate link can (and does) rank #1.

How We Keep Our Data Accurate

We monitor carrier pricing and plan changes on an ongoing basis, updating our database whenever we spot a change. Each plan listing shows the month it was last confirmed. We cover 10 carriers and 30+ plans — we don't add carriers unless we can verify and maintain their data.

Despite our best efforts, carriers change pricing without notice. Always confirm the final price directly on the carrier's website before signing up.

Affiliate Links & How We Make Money

Our policy: affiliate relationships never affect rankings. We do not accept payment for placement.

SwitchNinja is free to use. We earn a small referral commission when you click through to a carrier and sign up for a plan. This is how the site stays free.

We do not boost a carrier's score because they pay a higher commission. Our scoring methodology is applied identically to all plans regardless of whether an affiliate link exists. For full details, see our Affiliate Disclaimer.

Editorial Policy

Plan data is verified monthly using official carrier sources and FCC Broadband Facts labels. Articles and comparison pages are reviewed whenever a carrier announces pricing or plan changes. Our goal is to keep every page accurate within 30 days of any change in the market.
