⚡ Ninja Verdict

T-Mobile for value and 5G speed

T-Mobile generally offers the stronger overall value, with very competitive hotspot and international benefits on its current Experience plans. One notable exception at the mid-tier: AT&T Extra 2.0 ($70) is $15 cheaper than T-Mobile Experience More ($85) and still delivers 100GB priority data and a 50GB hotspot — T-Mobile edges ahead on hotspot (60GB) but AT&T wins on price. For coverage: AT&T's FirstNet investments help it perform especially well in rural and suburban markets, and it can be strong in parts of the South and Southeast depending on your exact location — though both AT&T and Verizon often outperform T-Mobile in rural areas. T-Mobile leads on 5G speed in dense cities. On international travel, both carriers offer solid North America benefits on upper tiers — compare the specific plan perks for Mexico and Canada before deciding. If coverage matters more than raw speed in your area, check both AT&T and Verizon coverage maps by address.
